Located in the Petit Maroc neighbourhood, the 15 targeted houses were built in the 1950s with basic materials. These homes are approximately 40m² in size. They are energy inefficient and in urgent need of rehabilitation. The residents of the neighbourhood and tenants of targeted homes have expressed a strong need to improve living conditions.
The project aims to first create a demonstration of rehabilitation following the Upcycling Trust model, and then promote the renovation of additional homes.
To enhance security and optimize space utilisation, this pilot project includes an accelerated rehabilitation of currently vacant housing units, ensuring they are quickly restored and put to good use.
Currently, a surveyor has completed measurements, an asbestos diagnosis has been carried out in accessible homes, and a consultation for the pre-diagnosis has been launched.
